Buffalo Chicken Sliders

For months, I have pinning recipes that call for a crock pot.  There are so many that look delicious and using a crock pot seems like such an easy thing to do.  I grew up with a crock pot in my house, but I only remember it being used once for my 17th birthday party.  I have owned my own crock pot for almost 4 years.  The first time I used it was last month, and now I'm hooked.  I definitely get the appeal of using a crock pot now.  Not only is it super easy, but meat that is cooked comes out perfectly moist.  I have been cooking a lot lately using my crock pot, including making these Buffalo Chicken Sliders.



I was trying to think of recipes that would be good for game days.  I thought these Buffalo Chicken Sliders would be the perfect thing. 


To make the filling, you need wing sauce, chicken, and a crock pot.  ( I got this wing sauce at dollar tree and it tastes just like Frank's Red Hot.)


Add the chicken to your crock pot.


Pour enough wing sauce to cover your chicken.  I also added about 1/2 cup of water so the chicken wouldn't be too spicy. Then let your chicken cook for 7-8 hours on low or 3 1/2 -4 hours on high.


About 20 minutes before the chicken was done, I baked some Pillsbury country style biscuits.  I thought these would be the perfect size for my sliders.



Once the chicken is done, shred it with 2 forks.  To assemble the sliders, slice the biscuits, add some shredded chicken and top with a dab of ranch or blue cheese dressing.  I then added bamboo forks to hold the sliders together.


These little buffalo chicken sliders are so delicious, that I made a full size sandwich with Bolillo rolls and the chicken with ranch for dinner.   But the sliders are perfect for game day, or any other event you need an appetizer for.  Hope you enjoy!
